So on the 28th the nerf goes from 5% to 10%....a bit soon if you ask me.

The main problem with quotes on the internet is you never know if they're accurate.

I fully expect Zon'ozz to be going down then. With the extra gear and work we've put in the last few lockouts coupled with a 10% debuff compared to when we were working on him before, we should be able to take him out.

Exactly. Zon should go down pretty easily once the buff/nerf is at 10%.

Plus that new sword of your's should mean we're one-shotting everything in there anyway. :d

That should give us a little extra incentive to get Hagara this week, before the nerf hits.

We should probably work on Zon'ozz heroic this week to get a 're-feel' of the encounter and get some more practice in so when the nerf hits next week, we will be ready to down him straight away and move onto hagara. I'm wondering if we could handle healing it in the 2-group setup now that the damage will be nerfed 10%. We could push to 5 bounces and probably do fine on the enrage since the health is 10% lower (10% less dps buff by pushing 5 stacks instead of 7). I'm suggesting this again because although the 'middle group' method helped spread the damage, it was adding RNG to the encounter and all it took was 1 screw up (out of 20+ bounces) to wipe us. We have plenty of experience with the bouncing mechanic in the 2-group setup. Food for thought..

I highly doubt (99.9%) we will be able to drop hagara with 1 night of attempts. I think it would be much wiser to put some more practice in on zon'ozz. We have experience on zon'ozz and our strategy was making progress. With the 10% nerf, this should be a solid win for us with a little practice (practice being this thursday, kill being next thursday), realistically. Starting fresh on Hagara will involve a steep learning curve and i think it better to wait until after the nerf to start that climb.

I agree with Stout, we actually haven't even tried Zon'ozz since the 5% nerf went in.

A quick update to my previous suggestion of doing the 2-group setup to maximize predictability. I looked through the logs when we last attempted this. The average amount of resistance we had on the bounces resulted in 24% damage reduction on average.

Bouncing the ball 7 times (pre-nerf) would result in: 2.6 million damage taken
Bouncing the ball 5 times (post-nerf) would result in: 1.36 million damage taken

My conclusion is that if we only do 5 bounces (because we can kill him before enrage with his reduced health), we will take roughly half the damage we used to take and it should be easy enough to do it in the 2-group method, greatly increasing our consistency on each pull.
