I'm going to be a half hour to an hour late tonight, unfortunately.
If we're going to fully stack for the Onslaughts, then we only need to soak a half dozen barrages total (assuming the drakes are actually dying on each pass). A couple of tweaks we could try:
- Single soak the Barrages as much as possible.
- Fire mages (Cauterize), shadow priests (Dispersion), and any paladin with glyphed DP can solo-soak one and survive.
- Single tank the adds with tanks alternating each wave of adds. Offtank single soaks a barrage (or two) each add wave.
Drakes absolutely have to die as a priority over the adds.
...
The main thing that gets me about soloing old content is the trash. Especially if you're talking normal 5m where you can reset the instance and kill it as much as your sanity allows. If I'm going to farm on old boss for something, I'll usually take a few stacks of 9172 or 3823 if there's pita-trash that you can't scooch around and don't have to kill. Once (If) they finally enable account-wide mounts, I'll probably just start farming stuff with my druid whenever possible for the stealth.
Sorry about that. I'm sort of back. I think.
I'll check in when I can.
Yeah, after leveling in SWTOR (when my computer lets me -- someday I might make it to level 20  ), questing in MoP feels pretty bland.
And so everything is now different with the latest Beta build. I'm going to stop posting for a couple months. Maybe then Blizz will slow down on the design thrash.
Hmm, guess I wont know until I get a beta key.....my give-o-sugar-dometer is guaranteed to be broken by then.
I was wrong -- with the new Glyph of Atonement, you can actually replicate the current Live Disc priest playstyle.
I am just going to play the straight up most OP non druid healer. So, like....a holy pally. Blizz class notes said that they are 'strong'. I know what THAT means. If both holy and Disc look good, ill stay with priest....but Disc looks nerfed to me, Disc not having PoH in a largely two-healing 10 is huge.
Holy Radiance is huger.
Currently on Beta, PoH is Disc-only with a guaranteed bubble; it's Holy that doesn't have it. They added PoH back to Disc with the latest Beta update. I recall Blizz saying something about Holy Nova being one spec's...
I think I'll stick with the DK, but I'll have to see what they've done to them first in the beta before I make up my mind.
I'd say DKs have the fewest changes of any of the classes I've played in Beta thus far. From 85 - 86, Blood plays pretty much exactly the same, though rune regeneration feels a bit sluggish vs. Live. The change from on-swing to on-hit takes some getting used to. Asphyxiate is fun. I would expect to get more mileage out of Death Grip, as DKs will be the least "mobile" of all the tanks, if not all the classes.
